NT Local Court listings over the 2020/21 holiday period
DARWIN NICHOLS PLACE
21 December to 8 January 2021
- Specialist lists for Directions Hearings, Preliminary Examinations, Domestic Violence, Civil/Work Health, and Mental Health will be suspended.
- There will be a single judge presiding for new custody and urgent listings, with a custody-cut off time of 2:00pm each day.
- Matters should not be adjourned into or bailed to this period.
DARWIN TCG - CHILDREN'S COURT
29 December to 31 December 2020
- No matters are to be adjourned to these days and any new in-custody youth or urgent applications pursuant to the Care and Protection Act will be heard via audio visual link to Darwin Local Court.
KATHERINE LOCAL COURT
24 December to 8 January 2021
- Katherine Local Court will proceed via Audio Visual Link to Darwin Local Court; in custody matters only, other matters should not be adjourned into or bailed to this period.
TENNANT CREEK LOCAL COURT
29-31 December 2020
- Tennant Creek Court house will be closed during this period.
- Any new custody matters will be dealt with as per the on-country bail application procedures by telephone to Alice Springs Local Court.
ALICE SPRINGS LOCAL COURT
24 December to 31 December 2020
- There will be two judges presiding between 24 and 31 December for new custody and urgent listings, with a custody-cut off time of 2:00pm each day.
- Matters should not be adjourned into or bailed to this period.
