NAAJA provides legal aid for Indigenous people in the Northern Territory, with offices in Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs. We are considered to be a leading Australian legal service and have received both national and Northern Territory human rights awards for our work.

Custody Notification Service (CNS) will be launched throughout the Northern Territory in March 2019. The CNS will provide wellbeing support and legal assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples taken into police custody in the Northern Territory.

NAAJA have the following vacancies available:

As this service is provided 24 hours per day 7 days per week, your availability for shift work, including weekends, is compulsory.

Successful applicants will have a commitment to providing access to justice and a demonstrated empathy and sensitivity to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, history and culture.
