AbaF calling for for individuals with legal experience Print E-mail

AbaF is a national organisation which promotes private sector support for the arts through three programs: Partnering, Volunteering and Giving

AbaF makes connections. They work with businesses large and small, arts organisations of all types, individual artists, trusts and foundations. They provide advice, professional development, volunteering and networking opportunities. Many of the services are free. AbaF's volunteering programs, adviceBank and boardBank, connect business people with the arts and cultural sector. So arts organisations can access business expertise completely free.

AbaF connects the arts with business people who can apply their skills to a specific project (adviceBank) or bring their experience to your board (boardBank).
Business volunteers with an arts organisation can contribute to the community and develop skills in a different creative environment.
AbaF's volunteering programs also provide development opportunities and motivate staff.
Volunteering boosts staff loyalty and morale and strengthens skills in communication and leadership.

AbaF's volunteering programs have contributed more than $4.4 million worth of business expertise to the arts and culture (July 2008).
